Bryce and Suzanne came to Kenya for a visit, braving the long journey here. We had a wonderful time. They helped with transfers dinners and the game drive, drove with us to Eldoret for a zone conference, to Busia for Branch conference, to Kisumu for some interviews, then to Nakuru for somea little down time and watching the animals. The traveling gave us some good "conferencing" time besides enjoying the Kenyan sights. They joined us for the Zone Leaders conference and one night we even watched "UP". Thanks Suz and Bryce for filling our hearts and life with joy and love.

Dinner at POA Cottages in Eldoret.

Zone Leaders Conference:
front: Elders Nzima (from Zambia), Cele (President's assistant from Durban) and Thornton (President's assistant from Provo--a nephew to Millie and Alan Batt), President and Sister Taylor, Elders Kamara (from Sierre Leone), Meistre (from Johannesburg), Lemma (from Ethiopia) and Clark (from Heber City)
back: Elders Sithole (from Johannesburg) , Manganela (from Botswanna), Mdalose (from Johannesburg), Harris (from Lindon), Khasake (from Durban), Tyler (from South Africa)and Nkhoma (from Malawli)
We have 6 zones in Kenya and Tanzania.

At Nakuru we saw this hyena walking along the shallow water. The flamingos kept moving a little bit ahead of him.

We saw lots of Rhinos. These Rhinos were having a face off. We watched for about 1/2 hour as they snorted, clashed horns, retreated, pawed the ground, then move in again. The baby rhino kept close to the mother as she stood her ground against the intruder--the father? It was so intriguing to watch.

I really like this picture of the Rhino grazing with the lake and flamingos in the background. They are such massive animals!
